Woman Sues Boyfriend of 8 Years for Not Proposing
According to Tuko, a Kenyan news site, 26-year-old Gertrude Ngoma grew very impatient of her boyfriend, 28-year-old Herbert Salaliki, who is also the father of her child. They had been dating for 8 years, and he still had not proposed. She believed he wasted her time to a criminal degree, so she took him to court.
Ngoma not only filed a lawsuit against Salaliki for wasting years of her life, but also for texting another woman, according to Tuko.
Ngoma said in court, “He has never been serious, that is why I [brought] him to court, because I deserve to know the way forward and our future.”
Salaliki defended himself by claiming that he is not currently in a financial position to afford a wedding. He also accused Ngoma — who still lives at home — of not giving him enough attention in their relationship.
The judge for the case, Evelyn Nalwize, told Ngoma that the court could not do anything for her as there was no formal marriage, Zambian news site Mwebantu reported.

Sex before marriage is a sin in many societies and religions . Also when a couple lives together for some 25 years they are considered in a common law marriage in some USA states .
A women in this condition in the USA could sue for child support , however if she is in Kenya , the laws are different.
Perhaps her father should have a talk with this father of the child .Just think that former President Barrack Obama is a Kenyan citizen and became president of the United States .
