Is the Media Hyping Coronavirus to Purposely Tank the Economy?

No doubt we’ve all seen and felt the hysteria caused by the coronavirus, however, how much is real and how much is contrived — by the media or those in Washington wishing to weaken our booming economy just in time for the 2020 election.

If you think this sounds too crazy to be true, think again.

It was just a few months ago when the crazies within the Democratic Party, contrived an impeachment witch-hunt based on nothing more than a benign call from our President to a country with a long history of corruption, in which both leaders discussed potential corruption within Ukraine, along with certain political individuals that may have been compromised.

Which brings us to the present health crises gripping the world, and how much of that hardship is actually effecting everyday Americans, within our country and how much is sensational hype created by the media, in which the same cast of characters namely CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, along with the New York Times and Washington Post and others, have implied, conflated, surmised and in some instances accused the administration of either being complacent or incompetent in their handling of the virus.

Which when compared to the rest of the world, is remarkably low, according to the CDC, reporting as of March 9th, a total of 423 cases have been actually confirmed of having the coronavirus with 19 deaths, mostly elderly with underlined medical issues, confined to a nursing home, which is quite astonishing.

However listening to the leftist media, you would think that America rather then Communist China is at fault for this epidemic that should have been contained within their country; rather than Chinese leaders attempting to hide the outbreak by arresting health officials attempting to warn the world at what was unfolding within their country.

Fox’s Jeanine Pirro during a segment of “Justice with Judge Jeanine” lambasted the media for their “doomsday reporting” on the coronavirus.

“If you listen to the mainstream media, it’s time to buy the family burial plot, visit the cemetery where the dirt is definitely cleaner than your kitchen counter or your bathroom handles.”

Adding, “You want to focus on the Dow now? Where were you when the Dow, the S&P 500, and Nasdaq all repeatedly reached record highs under President Trump? You weren’t interested then, were you?” Pirro said. “Where were you when the Dow closed at a record high more than 100 times since Donald Trump’s election? Where were you when animal spirits were driving this country to new economic heights?”

Pirro said the economy could handle a 3,000-point drop because the stock market is at record highs.

“So what’s the downside of their doomsday reporting? The downside is predictable. When people are scared, when people think it’s just a question of time before they start dropping like flies, they go into survival mode,” Pirro said. “They don’t spend money. The economy suffers. They don’t invest. The market suffers. They talk about taking their children out of school. Education suffers. They talk about canceling March Madness, Coachella, and local businesses suffer.”

Pirro, of course, is correct, the anxiety level created by the media is real, in that whether we like to admit it or not the mainstream media usually establishes the mood of a country especially during a crisis, regardless of whether that threat is real or imagined, simply take a look at the empty shelves in your neighborhood supermarkets, where every manner of disinfectant has been purchased.

However, Pirro wasn’t the only one sounding off about the mainstream media’s effort to apparently sabotage the economy.

Celebrity physician Dr. Drew Pinsky also weighed in on what’s taking place in America, during an interview with CBS last week, the good doctor took direct aim at the national media, accusing them of stoking the flames of coronavirus “panic” in the United States, and that the industry should “be held accountable.”

Adding, “What I have a problem with is the panic and the fact that businesses are getting destroyed, that people’s lives are being upended, not by the virus, but by the panic.”

Pinsky continued, “The panic must stop. And the press, they really somehow need to be held accountable because they are hurting people.”

Of course, the press will not be held accountable, they seldom are. Therefore it’s up to the people to be informed, it’s their responsibly to get the facts and not rely on an industry that has proven time and again they can’t be trusted.
