DNC concerned for Joe’s mental health, changes rules for next debate

The rumor mill is abuzz concerning Biden’s mental health and his ability to handle the grueling two-hour one-on-one debate with Bernie Sanders, hosted by CNN, scheduled for Friday March 15th

Leaders within the Democratic National Committee (DNC) have decided to once again change the format, after witnessing the increased and noticeable gaffes by the former VP, which many within the Party now consider a lot more worrisome then Biden’s usual gaffes, which were usually discounted as simply slips of the tongue.

Within recent weeks Biden’s puzzling and bizarre statements on the campaign trail, is generating more and more public scrutiny within the usually pro-Biden media.

This is perhaps one of the reasons why the DNC is changing the rules in the upcoming debate, allowing both candidates to remain seated, which is being criticized by the Sanders campaign, suggesting that the game is once again being rigged, this time in favor of Biden.

According to Politico, an extremely concerned official at the DNC, called CNN on Friday to inform the network of the change, which was immediately criticized by the 78-year old Democratic/Socialist, while the Biden camp denied it had lobbied hard for the sit-down debate.

The new format of course favors Biden, who has in the past suddenly gone into hiding for weeks, in the midst of campaigning without any explanation.

Prior to the new format, all 10 previous debates had the candidates standing at lecterns fielding questions from media moderators, however this time aside from being seated; the questions will now come from the audience.

Moreover, it’s not clear if members of the audience have been prescreened by the DNC or CNN, and if they’re affiliated with any particular candidate, which should worry Bernie further.

Jeff Weaver, Sanders’ senior adviser, echoed what many Bernie supporters are beginning to ask the DNC

“Why does Joe Biden not want to stand toe-to-toe with Sen. Sanders on the debate stage March 15th and have an opportunity to defend his record and articulate his vision for the future?”

Biden’s campaign claimed that both the DNC and CNN decided to change the format, and that the campaign had nothing to do with the decision. Both the DNC and the news network declined to comment further.

The former VP’s performance has been a core issue ever since Biden jumped into the race. However, within the last several months, the gaffes have turned a lot more problematic, with an assortment of confusing statements and flubs, usually associated with seniors suffering from dementia or some other neurological disorders of advanced age.

This is what appeared to happen recently when the 77-year old former VP made a series of incoherent statements, appearing to blank out for a moment even mispronounced his own name.

“… We cannot get re-elect, we cannot win this re-election, excuse me. We can only re-elect Donald Trump,” Biden said to his bewildered supporters. The candidate himself seemed caught off guard by his inability to keep his train of thought.

Then came perhaps the most shocking moment, Biden struggled to remember his own last name, bumbling “Obiden Bama” Democrat.

Biden’s deputy campaign manager Kate Bedingfield attempted to downplay what is fast becoming a rigged process stating, “We will participate in whatever debate CNN chosen to stage: standing, sitting, at podiums, or in a town hall.”

Adding, “The problem for the Sanders campaign is not the staging of the debate, but rather, the weakness of Sen. Sanders’ record and ideas.”

There’s little doubt after the sudden series of endorsements by the former 2020 presidential hopefuls, along with the upcoming rigged debate in Arizona, that Biden may very well be the Democratic nominee going into the convention in July unless his mental health issues become more pronounced. If that should happen, look for the DNC to quickly drop Biden, forcing a contested convention.

Popular political podcaster Joe Rogan, perhaps best summed up the growing Biden issue.

“He had three strokes while he was saying that. The first one — what is that word? Self-evident? Was that what he said? But it didn’t even sound right. Hear it again. Listen to it. Listen. What was it? Self-evident. He’s drunk. That dude’s either drunk, or he can’t talk. He shouldn’t be doing this anymore.”
