Woman, 29, Is Fatally Mauled by Pack of Dogs

Crime

Authorities in Tennessee are investigating the death of a woman whose family says she was mauled by “a pack of dogs.”

“Amber suffered tremendously and fought her best but was overcome in her fight to live,” Cindy Miller wrote on a GoFundMe page about her 29-year-old daughter, Amber Miller.

According to her family, Miller died while in the hospital six days after she was attacked on July 12.

“They worked on her six to eight hours every day, and they said she had so many wounds that they could not even count them,” Miller’s great aunt, Regina Jozefek stated.

While the Cocke County Sheriff’s Office has not released much information on the incident, they did reveal that Miller is the second person to be fatally attacked on the street where she was mauled.

According to a July 17 Facebook post, “A similar incident occurred on the same road on April 1, 2021 that resulted in the death of Tony Ahrens.”

Both incidents are “under a strong investigation,” the sheriff’s office said.

“I just think that’s horrible. Because that’s something that could have been prevented,” Jozefek said, WATE reports.

Autopsy results have not yet been completed. Anyone with information is urged to contact the sheriffs office at 423-623-6004.

  1. investigation? The DOGS need to be OUT DOWN and the Owner with them. Start with the head of the snake and kill the body

  2. investigation? The DOGS need to be PUT DOWN and the Owner with them. Start with the head of the snake and kill the body

  3. This is a tragedy no matter how you look at it. First question who owned these untrained dogs ? They should be charged for murder, & not training their dogs properly, let alone have them run loose. Should this be the very same pack of dogs, & they can identify the owner, they should have been trained, & kept in a fenced in area. And furthermore if these Pit Bulls which I have had 2 now which are sweet as honey, because I trained them that way.

  4. Why weren’t that gang of dogs rounded up and euthanized? If they have attacked another person and killed them, there is no reason stopping the Sheriff/Police, Animal Control, etc from capturing those dogs and removing them!
FYI: When domestic dogs start running with groups of feral dogs, they lose their domestic traits and become feral too.
The Law Enforcement groups have let that young woman and her family down and are responsible for her death because they NEVER ROUNDED UP THE WILD DOGS FROM THE FIRST ATTACK! Shame on them!

  5. HOW SAD. MY HEART GOES OUT TO THIS FAMILY! PUT THOSE DOGS DOWN IMMEDIATELY !THAT OWNER SHOULD BE CHARGED TO THE MAXIMUM! WHOEVER IT IS!!THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN COMPLETE CONTROL!MANY BLESSINGS TO THAT POOR FAMILY-!MY HEART IS BREAKING FOR THEM! SINCERELY, ROSE
