Shooting Erupts at George Floyd Square on Anniversary of His Death

Crime

Dozens of gunshots were fired during a parking dispute in George Floyd Square in Minneapolis on the one-year anniversary of his death. One person was shot.

Minneapolis police confirmed that one person had been shot and 911 callers reported a suspected gunman fleeing in a vehicle “at a high rate of speed.”

Moments after the shooting, a person was admitted to Abbott Northwestern Hospital, according to police.

Footage taken by the Associated Press recorded nearly 30 loud bangs around 10:10 a.m. local time at the intersection where Floyd died, 38th Street and Chicago Avenue.

Billy Briggs, a volunteer who cares for the tribute items left at the intersection, told Reuters the shootings erupted after a parking dispute.

“It sounds like gunshots, I don’t even know what this is,” reporter Philip Crowther says in the clip.

Crowther added in another tweet, “From our vantage point we see one broken window, apparently from one of the shots fired.”

“Very quickly things got back to normal,”Crowther wrote.

“People here who spend a significant amount of time, the organizers, were running around asking, ‘Does anyone need a medic?’”

Cops said the shooting victim is expected to survive.

  1. hardened criminal with tons of drugs in his system and resisting arrest and you joe biden are honoring this criminal by flying his family to the whitehouse…who the hell paid for this you scum guppy ?

  2. Really don’t understand if liberals do and say bizarre thing just to irritate others or just mentally don’t know common sense. Joe is in a state of mind where he is easily swayed to do dumb decisions.

  3. Bozo is right.
Taxpayer funds should never be used to “honor”
