PARENTAL ALERT!!! App Allows Minors to Buy Birth Control Without Your Knowledge

Health Wellness

Just a few decades ago, parents still had legal authority over their minor children. Nothing medically could be done to them or for them without parental knowledge and consent. However, in today’s liberal America, there is a concerted effort to undermine parental authority.

Many public schools have partnered with Planned Parenthood to bring their sex education material into the classroom along with their birth control methods and liberal attitudes on sex. At one time, Planned Parenthood had a page on their website that gave minors instructions on how to obtain an abortion without their parents’ knowledge or consent. This is also the same organization that handed out thousands of free condoms at the 2012 Democratic National Convention that had anti-Romney and Ryan messages printed on them.

Kids in early elementary school are being taught that sex is ok and normal and that they should try it, as long as they use safety, like condoms, to prevent pregnancies and diseases. Kids as young as fourth grade have not only been taught graphic human anatomy, but they have been taught how to use condoms, including anal condoms. They also encourage kids to try homosexual sex, telling them that it’s normal and acceptable. Then they tell them that they don’t have to obey or tell their parents.

To back up their efforts, they site the fact that teenaged pregnancy is down. What they don’t report is that teenage sex and even sex in preteens is at all-time record highs. A number of surveys have revealed that the vast majority of kids graduating or leaving high schools are already sexually active. Virginity is a rarity and even looked down on by many. The concept of sex being reserved only for marriage and only within a marriage is no longer taught in schools like it was when I went to school and it’s mocked and virtually abandoned.

Planned Parenthood and other liberals support their efforts by touting the rate of teenage pregnancy has been dropping.

During the past 8-years of the Obama administration, liberals made huge advances in their agenda to promote the open sexual promiscuity of school kids. They also wanted every employer, regardless of religious beliefs, to pay for free birth control for all of their employees. President Donald Trump just announced that he was ending the employer contraceptive mandate. Just when you thought things were improving, guess again.

Parents now need to be aware of a new app that makes it possible for minors to purchase birth control without their parents knowing. The app and website is Nurx. On their home page, it states:

“Birth Control

Delivered to you without a visit to the doctor.

With or without insurance. Starting at $15/month.

Available in CA,NY,DC,WA,IL,PA,VA,FL,MI,MO,MN,NJ,MA, and TX.”

On another page on their website, it tells how they work:

“Nurx is a hassle-free way to get birth control and PrEP delivered to you. Go to the Nurx home page and Click Get Started or Looking for PrEP? Get started in 3 simple steps:

  1. Select the prescription you’d like or select the option to get a doctor’s advice on which method might work best for you.
  2. Answer a few health questions.
  3. Enter your demographic information & complete your order.

A licensed medical provider will review your request and write a prescription once they’ve reviewed your health history. Nurx will fill and ship the prescription to you. The process takes about 3-5 business days once we receive your complete request with all the information we need. Nurx automatically refills and ships your prescription!”

“Birth control shipments take about 3-5 business days to arrive after you complete your prescription request. To speed up the process, make sure your request contains all the info our doctor will need:

  • Clear photo of your ID (passport, driver’s license, school ID, etc)
  • Complete health questionnaire
  • Up-to-date delivery address
  • Valid credit or debit card for any copays or out-of-pocket costs”

I wasn’t aware of this new app/website until I heard it mentioned on the news and then did some research. Note, that all a kid needs is a valid school ID, which many schools automatically provide these days and the money to pay for it. The company contacts one of their ‘licensed medical providers’ to review and approve the prescription. It doesn’t necessarily involve the minor’s doctor, but some doctor paid by Nurx. Neither the minor’s parents nor the parent’s doctor will have any knowledge that their underaged daughters are using birth control pills and probably sexually active.

Parents – have you checked to see what apps or websites your kids have been visiting? If not, you need to. What you find out may be a shock to you. You need to be aware if your kid(s) have accessed Nurx, whether for themselves or a friend. Obviously, the licensed medical provider used by Nurx knows nothing about the person requesting the birth control and then only from the person who fills in the application and medical history questionnaire. This can be easily falsified and prescribing the wrong birth control can be very dangerous to a girl’s health, let alone the other implications of abusing parental authority. You also know that once one kid learns about the app that they’ll all know about it pretty quick.
