12-Year-Old Stabbed While Waiting in Line at McDonald’s with His Family
A 12-year-old was waiting in line with his family at a Pittsburgh McDonald’s when a man stabbed the boy in the neck with a box cutter, according to police.
Charles Edward Turner, 51, was arrested around 2 p.m. Saturday. He faces multiple charges, including criminal attempt homicide and four counts of aggravated assault, records show. He is being held at Allegheny County Jail.
The boy was taken to the hospital in critical condition and has been upgraded to stable, KDKA reported, citing the criminal complaint.
Police say they don’t know of any relationship between the boy and Turner, KDKA reported.
CNN has not been able to identify an attorney for Turner.
Two McDonald’s employees intervened to help the boy, Cara Cruz, deputy public information officer for the Pittsburgh Public Safety Department, told KDKA.
“He was with his family, he was standing in line, they had just zipped in for one quick thing,” Cruz told KDKA.
The motive remains unclear and the investigation is ongoing, police say.
Detectives from the Major Crimes and Crime Scene units are reviewing the scene, analyzing video evidence, and speaking with eyewitnesses, the Pittsburgh Public Safety Department posted.
The next that will happen is when President Joe signs an Executive Order outlawing box cutters. Then Sen. Feinstein will come up with a bill to do away with the oversized military model of box cutters because someone might think they will kill with them instead of a gun. No weapon check for box cutters, yet. Then a spoon will be used, so no more spoons, C’mon, man.

The “WACKODOODLES” (emotionally and mentally impacted people) are walking amongst you. Be aware of everyone around you at all times and be ready to react to protect them!
Covid has changed our Society, distanced people from realities and created a false society that many people cannot adjust to. That 51 year old man struck out at that young kid for what reason? Was he ticked off, angry about something, depressed? No one knows, but that kid suffered because that man suffered some major emotional distress.
